It will probably not come as a huge surprise to learn that my list of super cars includes a Lamborghini after all they have a long history of producing the top super cars in the world. For my list I have chosen to go with the Diablo as my favorite super car. It is one of the most popular cars that the company has ever produced as well as being one of the best that they have produced.
Lamborghini have always followed a pretty simple formula when it comes to car design, put a big engine into a car that has a stylish and streamlined body. This certainly what they did in the case of the Diablo. The engine that is used is a V-12 that produces better than five hundred horse power. It is of course a mid-engined car; all of this is pretty standard on all Lamborghinis. One area where the Diablo is an improvement over other Lamborghinis is in the handling. The company’s cars have always been very fast in a straight line, the decision to go to four wheel drive has greatly improved handling.
In the past the design of most Lamborghinis has been a question of taste, they usually go with a pretty extreme design that people tend to have strong opinions about one way or the other. This is not really the case with the Diablo which has gone with a more conservative design. The result is that the car appeals to a lot more people than a lot of the companies older models did. That being said some of the people who are diehard fans of Lamborghini may be somewhat disappointed with the design.
